NİL BANU YENTÜR

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Founder & Creative Director

Nil Banu Yentür's design journey begins with stories of discovery dating back to her childhood. Her early experiences in different creative fields such as painting, stained glass, batik and ceramics shaped her aesthetic understanding and design philosophy.

After graduating from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Textile Design, she started her career in the fashion industry in Istanbul. However, she soon discovered her interest in home textiles and turned to developing collections for international markets. She started working for a well-established home textile company in Izmir and deepened her understanding of design with the experiences she gained in important markets such as England and France.

In 2007, she founded the Haremlique brand with her business partner and assumed the role of creative director. Later, she launched Selamlique and created the identities and collections of both brands. This process enabled Banu Yentür to bring her creative vision to a wider audience.

With her years of experience and passion for her work, she realized her dream brand NEOLONCA, inspired by her roots. She defines this brand as a space where design and craft come together and cultural memory is revitalized with a contemporary interpretation. Banu Yentür sees NEOLONCA as her “period of mastery” and transforms her years of experience into a new vision with this project.

For Nil Banu Yentür, Hatay is not only the land of her birth, but also a source of inspiration where she rediscovers her creativity and enthusiasm for her work. Trust in one’s roots, stories woven with passion and an inspiring vision in design play a leading role in Neolonca's story.

GUILD

At NEOLONCA, every piece starts with collaboration. We believe in the power of manual labor, stories, traditions and collaboration. In this journey, we are together with a crowded team working passionately to preserve our cultural heritage, craftsmanship and collective memory with a collaborative structure.

We work with craftsmen who continue our cultural heritage with their crafts. Our journey is based on honoring the craftsmanship of artisans, refined over generations, and reimagining it for today's world. We aim not only to preserve their lost techniques, but also to be a platform for artisans to adapt their skills to contemporary design. We believe that we can only keep our cultural heritage alive together with artisans. By supporting their work, we contribute to the preservation of lost traditions and ensure that craft stories continue for generations to come.
